FAQ

1) WHERE CAN I FIND A PRODUCT THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON YOUR WEBSITE?

It might be available at one of our retailers. Visit our Retailers page to find a store near you. We recommend calling the store before visiting it, and verifying the availability of the product in the colour and size of your choice.

Certain products can also be found at online retailers.

2) WHAT ARE SHIPPING DELAYS FOR ONLINE ORDERS?

Delays and prices will be communicated to you when confirming your order.

Deliveries to Canada are made with Canada Post. You can choose between three types of delivery: Regular (Expedited), Xpresspost or Priority.

If you have questions, feel free to contact us at 1 855 687-0344 or info@figclothing.com.

Delays may occur for reasons that are out of our control, like the weather, or a slowdown at our warehouse – but this is very rare.

3) WHAT SHIPPING SERVICE DO YOU USE?

Deliveries to Canada are made with Canada Post.

Once the order is processed, an invoice and order confirmation will be sent to you by email. You will receive a tracking number once the order has left our warehouse.

4) I AM RARELY HOME DURING THE WEEK. IS THAT A PROBLEM ?

Note that deliveries to Canada are made with Canada Post, from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm, and that a signature is required at the door. If you are not home during the delivery, your order will be deposited at a post office near you. You will be able pick it up during their opening hours.

5) WHAT ARE SHIPPING COSTS?

Shipping is free on all orders of at least $50 before taxes in Canada and in the United States (excluding Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska). If the minimum amount is not reached, you will have to choose between three types of delivery: Regular (Expedited), Xpresspost or Priority. Delays and prices will be communicated to you when confirming your order.

6) CAN I ENTER A DIFFERENT BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESS?

Yes, you can! Start by entering your shipping address. At the last step (Payment Method), you will be able to check a box that says: Use different billing address, and enter a different address.

7) I BOUGHT A PRODUCT ON YOUR WEBSITE AND IT DOESN’T FIT ME. CAN I RETURN IT?

Yes! You have 30 days after the purchase date to return a product for an exchange or complete refund, provided the returned item has not been worn, washed or damaged, and still has tags attached to it. ATTENTION! Some products in the PROMOTIONS section are FINAL SALES and CANNOT be exchanged or reimbursed (the words FINAL SALE will be written in the description section of the product page). To return a product, please visit the Shipping and Returns page.

8) WHERE ARE FIG PRODUCTS MADE?

We produce the majority of our clothes in Canadian manufactures, located in Quebec and Ontario. At FIG, producing locally is a long-term commitment. We believe it is our responsibility, as a Montreal, Quebec and Canadian brand, to play an active role in the local garment industry. Several manufacturers have been with us from the start; they are an extension of the FIG family.

International manufacturers have recently joined the FIG family. They share our values and our commitment for quality, and have become indispensable allies.

9) WHAT MAKES A GARMENT UV PROTECTIVE (UPF 50)?

UPF stands for “ultraviolet protection factor”. The highest rating is UPF 50 +. It is the density of the weave that allows the fabric to block UV rays. A dense and tight construction reduces the space between the threads, and limits the amount of UV light that is able to go through the fabric. No chemical treatment is added to the clothes. It is also important to know that a wet or stretched out garment is not as effective against UV rays. To find a sun protective garment on our website, use our Sun Protection filter.

10) WHAT DOES BLUESIGN® MEAN?

bluesign® is an independent organization active in the textile industry. Its mission is to eliminate substances posing risks to people and the environment in the textile supply chain. A garment, a fabric or a manufacturer can be certified bluesign®. To learn more about bluesign®, visit their website!

11) WHAT DOES RDS MEAN?

RDS stands for Responsible Down Standard. It is an independent, voluntary global standard that ensures the ethical treatment of animals and traceability in the down supply chain. All of our insulated jackets are made with RDS certified down. It’s our way of supporting the best animal welfare practices possible. To learn more about the certification, visit http://responsibledown.org/.

12) WHAT IS A C6 DWR?

It is a short chain durable water repellent treatment to keep rain and snow out of a garment’s surface. This particular treatment qualifies as eco because it is less damaging to the environment than conventional C8 DWR treatments. Its components are less toxic and decompose faster in the environment. This is the best option on the market at the moment, one that offers a high degree of performance, and above all durability. Although this product is not perfect, we must remember that a long-lasting garment is also a way of minimizing our impact on environment.
